Surrounding
The surrounding of this building is like behind it with other buildings and maybe on the side as well but you cant tell much.

Patterns
This photo is perfect it has two sets of patterns I think it makes it a great photo.

Lighting
This one has most the lighting toward the middle, I personally think its a little to much light in one spot but it still is a good photo.

Details
You can really tell the photographer zoomed in and got the details of the building. Most the time you cant really notice details on building like this.

Its design was created by architect Moshe based on his master's thesis at McGill University and built as part of Expo 67. 7. Why did you pick this building? (write at least a paragraph on this question) I picked it because I would love to visit Canada and maybe this will be the first place I will try to see. I also decided to keep this place because I think it looks really KOOL and fancy, I have never seen something like this place. I think its a beautiful design.

(write at least a paragraph on this question) I picked it because I thought the name sounded kool and that the building would be like a bunch of cubes stacked on each other. And when i saw the pictures i was amazed by the design I thought it looked so amazing and at first I thought it was fake at the same time.

2009 in review

Best songs: 10. Lady Gaga — "Bad Romance"
This song was voted number ten on the rolling stones top 25 songs. I chose this one because its a good song in my opinion, and i think the video is really creative and crazy.

Best movies:2. 'Up'
This movie was chosen number two in the best movies of 09'. I like this movie, I think its funny and cute and I like how it looks. I also love the story to it. I have seen this movie the most in 09.

News Stories of the Year: No. 7. Gay Rights
This story was rated number 7 on the top stories of 09. I chose it because i think its a good story and i think people should have the right to marry who ever they want. Not in every state everyone has the right to marry who ever and its not kool.

Photos of the year:
"Barbie dolls are lined up on the wall at a Barbie's 50th birthday party." I love how the photo is taken to were its focused on one doll I think it looks really kool. I think this might be the best photo of 09'.

BUILDING

I like the lighting in both of these and the style they dress haha. I think the girls are just being them selfs and I think it makes the photo more real and i wunna try to do that in my photos.

1. Alter Your Perspective

Most portraits are taken with the camera at (or around) the eye level of the subject. While this is good common sense – completely changing the angle that you shoot from can give your portrait a real WOW factor.

Get up high and shoot down on your subject or get as close to the ground as you can and shoot up. Either way you’ll be seeing your subject from an angle that is bound to create interest.

3. Break the Rules of Composition

There are a lot of ‘rules’ out there when it comes to composition and I’ve always had a love hate relationship with them. My theory is that while they are useful to know and employ that they are also useful to know so you can purposely break them – as this can lead to eye catching results.

The Rule of Thirds is one that can be effective to break – placing your subject either dead centre can sometimes create a powerful image – or even creative placement with your subject right on the edge of a shot can sometimes create interesting images.

Another ‘rule’ that we often talk about in portrait photography is to give your subject room to look into. This can work really well – but again, sometimes rules are made to be broken.

4. Experiment with Lighting

Another element of randomness that you can introduce to your portraits is the way that you light them. There are almost unlimited possibilities when it comes to using light in portraits.

Side-lighting can create mood, backlighting and silhouetting your subject to hide their features can be powerful.

Using techniques like slow synch flash can create an impressive wow factor.

I plan on shooting my friend moRAWRgan, and if i can take my camera home maybe my grandpa because he just always have the craziest face expressions. I want to take my photos outside were its really sunny because i like the lighting. I think it would look really nice with the black and white. =]

I like this photo because the puppy dog is soo cute, and i like how hes just looking at the person taking the picture. His nose even looks like a little heart. I think this photo would be rule of thirds.

I love how this photo looks and i like how close the person is to the squirrel its so kool how close he is. I think this photo could be background because you got the squirrel and the hands and then in the back is the tree leaves and stems.

1. My favorite memory of the holiday mmmm would be seeing my new baby cousin, he is soo cute and so little bitty. >_< .
2. I didn't really go anywhere, maybe to some friends houses if that counts, and i went to see Sherlock Holmes I thought it was a good movie.
3. I think ill remember it by seeing my first show at south by south west which was sooo fun, i almost lost my shoes there. I also learned how to drive in 2009, and i was pretty good my first time.
